Liebster Blog Award – You Like Me, You Really Like Me!

I was pleasantly surprised a few days ago when I checked my comments and found out I was given a blog award from Becky (aka Mrs. Burgher) over at lilburghers.wordpress.com! It was the highlight of my sinus-infected haze of a week.

Becky and I met at Podcamp Pittsburgh 5 and we have been Twitter friends for the past year. Thanks so much, Becky!

Which means I get to pick 5 blogs to pass this forward too. What fun! I did my best to pick new blogs, but I’m sure some of them have more than 200 followers. I’ll take my chances that the Liebster Academy doesn’t revoke my award.

Ya Jagoff!
I met one of the Jagoff Catchers at Podcamp Pittsburgh 6 and was instantly intrigued with this idea. If you don’t know what a Jagoff is, then you’re not from Pittsburgh (it’s OK, nobody’s perfect), but it’s basically a jerk. Anyone can nominate a Jagoff. Go ahead and have some fun shaking your head at other people. You’ll feel a lot better about yourself afterwards!

A Librarian’s Lists and Letters
I met Shannon at… you guessed it, Podcamp Pittsburgh 6! See why you should go to Podcamp? You will meet the most amazing people. And then you can give them awards! Shannon is a librarian in Pittsburgh and is awesome. I love her insight as she shares her life through letters and lists. She also just turned 30, so this is a bit of a belated birthday present. Happy Birthday, Shannon!

Is my motivation hiding under all these toys?
This is another Pittsburgher who is a friend of one of my BFFs. Maria talks about being healthy and having a healthy family. She’s a total inspiration too – just check out her “before” and “after” photos on her profile! I like that she’s a real person who has been through it – it’s like having your own cheerleader!

Pajama Mama
PJ blogs about her new family – her little one was born this past January. She’s also crafty, so I love that! Her blog is similar to mine in that she has an eclectic assortment of mommy stories, DIY projects, TV reviews and the such. Also, I’m sort of jealous she has so much PJ time.

Franklin’s Grain of Sand
Guess where I met Franklin? Well, I don’t think I actually met Franklin, but we’ve tweeted post Podcamp Pittsburgh. He was inspired by the weekend and started blogging right after. His posts are thoughtfully written. He muses about music, computers and life. He’s also a local Pittsburgher and writes about the local scene now and then.
