We try to hit the library on Thursdays. It’s one of our favorite places, and we live close so we can walk, which is great for everyone. We always read a book at bedtime. here’s my pick for this week.
I Love You All Day Long by Francesca Rusackas
This book is about a little piggy who starts school. He’s afraid to be away from him mommy, but she assures him she loves him all day long, even during different activities at school. It’s a sweet story and Daughter has taken to randomly telling me “Mommy, I love you all day long.” Who can resist that?
Daughter’s synopsis: Mommy picks up little piggy and makes him laugh and makes him giggle. Mommy kiss him on the cheek.
Daughter’s version, as she “read” it to me: “He ate pizza over his plate, then he’s sad. Then he draws an apple tree, then there’s a moon, a heart and a star. Then he looked at a picture, then the pigs were in the line. And then some were sad and some were happy, then the frog was happy. That’s what happened Mommy. Then everyone else was done in the potty, then the little girl had to go potty. Then they climbed up the ladder and they went down the slide. They the pig went ‘wheee!’ Then he found his mom! Then Mommy hugged him and read a story for bedtime. The end.”
