Cleaning on a Snow Day

One of the perks of working at a school is that I now get snow days too! After working in government for years, a place that doesn’t really care if there’s a foot of snow on the ground and no one can go anywhere, you-better-get-to-work-anyway, it is so nice to have your employer say Your safety is important.

I spent a good part of yesterday going through the mountain of clothes I have. I am a total pack rat, which was passed down from my mother. I literally have a hard time getting rid of things. “But I might need it!” I think. Never mind I haven’t worn it in 3 years, I might!

So, I have a goal of filling 5 garbage bags full of clothes I no longer need. Yesterday I filled 3 (to go to Goodwill, except for the stuff that’s unwearable). I honestly don’t know if I’m going to be able to fill 2 more, but I’m going to try. Because I literally have so many clothes I not only don’t have room for them all I don’t wear half of it because I can’t find it. And that’s just stupid.

Now, don’t get me going on the number of socks my husband has. If they’re all clean and put away, they fill two drawers in his dresser. I don’t get it.
