Yesterday, my daughter declared it “Hug & Kiss Day.” She’s 3, and one of the most thoughtful, caring people I know (you know, when she’s not having a melt down about not getting to sit behind the driver’s seat).
After PodCamp Pittsburgh, I was exhausted, and the dear hubby had made no plans for dinner (in his defense he had to kids for 2 days straight and the Steelers game was on) so we hoofed it to Denny’s. Apparently we were all in the mood for breakfast, because we all ordered breakfast food. On our way to the car, my daughter stopped me and said “Mommy, I love you so much” and gave me a huge hug. I nearly cried right there. Then she went to my husband, tugged on his shirt, and said the same thing to him. Completely unprompted. That’s the kind of kid I’m raising, and I couldn’t be prouder.
