NFL and Snapchat

Two NLF teams recently released their schedules on social media channels, most notably Snapchat. If you’re not familiar, Snapchat is a mobile app that allows users to send photos to one another that last for 10 seconds before they are no longer available. The service also offers stories that allow users to string together a number of images, which are available for 24 hours. The New York Jets and the New Orleans Saints used this method to share their schedules but showing an image for each game. It’s a very interesting concept, and a great example of how to use Snapchat for marketing. I like the limited availability of the schedules, which makes it feel exclusive to those “in the know.”
